INTRODUCTION The term ‘Jurisprudence’ is derived from ‘jurisprudentia’. The word ‘jure’ or ‘juris’ means the ‘law’ and the word prudentia means ‘skill’ or ‘knowledge’ and hence the word ‘Jurisprudence’ means ‘Knowledge of law’ or ‘Skill of Law’.
